CAD Exchanger offers the following products related to writing files in IGES format:

STEP to IGES converter
     CAD Exchanger can read STEP files and convert them to IGES files.

ACIS-SAT to IGES converter
     CAD Exchanger can read ACIS-SAT files and convert them to IGES files.

BRep to IGES converter
     CAD Exchanger can read BRep files and convert them to IGES files.

IGES to IGES converter
     CAD Exchanger can read IGES files and convert them back to IGES format (e.g. Manifold Solid BRep and Group of Trimmed Surfaces).

Files in the IGES format typically have *.iges and *.igs file name extensions.

IGES writer (exporter) supports the following scope of the STEP format:
-    IGES 5.0 (when faces are encoded as Trimmed Surfaces or Bounded Surfaces) and IGES 5.1+ (solid are encoded as Solids and faces as Faces)

-    Elementary, NURBS and other geometry (including offsets, extrusions, revolutions, etc)
-    Colors, names and layers attributes *

IGES writer (exporter) offers the following user-defined options to fine tune writing process:
-    Preferred model representation (Manifold solid, Trimmed surfaces)

-    Model units

-    Header attributes (company, user name, etc)
